At the constituent session of Parliament held on 22 December 2003 Mr. Vladimir Šeks, a member of the Croatian Democratic Union, was elected Speaker of Parliament. Vladimir

Šeks, a lawyer by occupation, was born on 1 January 1943 in Osijek. He currently serves his 5th consecutive parliamentary term.
