Jandroković, Vučić agree on need for continuous dialogue

Zagreb - Croatian Parliament Speaker Gordan Jandroković on Monday received Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and they confirmed that continuous dialogue was necessary to improve relations at all levels, notably on outstanding issues such as the war missing, ethnic minorities, the border, and judicial cooperation.

Croatia-Serbia relations are important for the interest of both countries and also for security and cooperation in Southeast Europe too, and the two officials expressed a willingness to intensify bilateral relations in areas of common interest.

Jandroković highlighted the importance of inter-parliamentary cooperation. The possibility of exchanging visits by European affairs committees and friendship groups was announced.

The Croatian parliament is willing to share its experience in the European Union accession process with the Serbian parliament, Jandroković said.

Vučić said the Serbian parliament speaker would soon invite Jandroković to visit Serbia, which Jandroković accepted.

The two officials also talked about economic cooperation and the situation in Southeast Europe, with emphasis on security and migrations, and they exchanged opinions on Bosnia and Herzegovina too.
