Parliament donates HRK 225,000 to flood victims

Zagreb - The Croatian Parliament will help the victims of the cataclysmic floods in eastern Slavonia with a total of HRK 225,000.

The parliamentary Presidency decided this at its session on Thursday morning, saying that deputies will give up HRK 1,500 from their salaries each to donate to the flood victims, Speaker Josip Leko told the press. There are 151 deputies in the Croatian Parliament.

The devastating floods that hit eastern Croatia affected 30,000 people. (Hina)
