Croatian Parliament actively participates in the work of the Parliamentary Assembly - Union for the Mediterranean, the successor of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Euro-Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly (EMPA) since 2010. The objectives of the partnership are to promote cooperation between the Member States of the European Union, the European Parliament and the Mediterranean countries in the context of dialogue on political, security, economic, social and cultural issues.

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean consists of 280 members and brings together representatives of the national parliaments of the European Union Member States (83 MPs), the European Parliament (49 MPs), the partner countries (2 MPs from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Monaco and Montenegro) of Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Tunisia, Turkey, Syria, Palestine (130 MPs) and Mauritania (10 MPs). The Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean acts on a plenary session once a year and works in five standing committees: Committee on Political Affairs, Security, and Human Rights; Committee on Economic and Financial Affairs, Social Affairs, and Education; Committee on Improving Quality of Life, Exchanges between Civil Societies, and Culture; Committee on Women's Rights in Euromed countries and Committee on Energy, Environment, and Water. The Croatian Parliament is a member of the Committee on Political Affairs, Security, and Human Rights, Committee on Women's Rights in Euromed countries and Committee on Energy, Environment, and Water.
