Croatian Parliament Speaker met with Qatari Prime Minister Al Thani

Zagreb - Croatian Parliament Speaker Josip Leko said in Doha on Thursday that the Croatian government would soon form a joint economy committee with Qatar, and told Qatari officials that the investment possibilities in Croatia were big, notably in energy and tourism.

On the second day of his official visit, he met with Prime Minister Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani. Their talks focused on the wish to intensify economic cooperation and on the situation in the Middle East.

Al Thani said the establishment of a joint economy committee would be very important because it would provide the foundation for further cooperation.

Leko also met with Economy and Trade Minister Ahmed bin Jassim Al Thani and Assistant Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani.

Leko was accompanied by representatives of several Croatian companies.
