Croatian Parliament Speaker receives Russian ambassador Azimov

Zagreb - Croatian Parliament Speaker Gordan Jandroković on Tuesday received Russian Ambassador Anvar Azimov for talks on bilateral relations. 

They reaffirmed the mutual interest in strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation between Croatia and Russia, emphasising the importance of parliamentary cooperation.

They also discussed possible future meetings, and in this context Azimov invited Jandroković to attend the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in late May and the international forum on parliamentarian system development in Moscow in early June.

The two officials expressed a mutual desire to intensify economic and cultural cooperation, and Azimov announced the opening of the exhibition "Catherine the Great, Empress of All the Russians" by the Hermitage State Museum in Zagreb's Klovicevi Dvori Gallery this week.
