Zagreb – The Croatian Parliament has launched the parleu2020.sabor.hr website for the purpose of communicating and following the activities of the parliamentary dimension of the Croatian Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The website is fully trilingual (Croatian, English, French).
The Croatian Parliament (Hrvatski sabor), as the national parliament of the Member State holding the Council presidency, is responsible for the implementation of the parliamentary dimension of the Council presidency which will be reflected through organising five inter-parliamentary events. At these conferences and meetings representatives of national parliaments and the European Parliament will discuss topics of common interest for the European Union and national parliaments, derived from the strategic documents of European institutions and the Programme and priorities of the Croatian Presidency of the Council of the EU.
Conferences and meetings at parliamentary level bring together between 150 and 400 participants and are very demanding in organizational terms. Four of the five conferences will be held in Zagreb, in the National and University Library and in the Westin Hotel, and one Conference will be held in the framework of the European Parliamentary Week at the European Parliament in Brussels.
The first one is the Meeting of the Chairpersons of the Committees for Union Affairs (COSAC), which will take place in Zagreb, 19 - 20 January 2020. You can read more about the meetings at the parliamentary level of the Presidency at our website https://parleu2020.sabor.hr/en/events.
