Zagreb - Croatian Parliament Speaker Gordan Jandroković congratulated the national football team and its selector Zlatko Dalić on winning a World Cup quarter-finals match against Russia in Sochi and securing their place among the world's four best national football teams.
"On behalf of the Croatian Parliament and my own behalf I wish you continuation of your brilliant performance and new victories at the World Cup. The entire Croatia is proud of you," Jandroković said in his message.
The national team's victory and entry into the world championship's semi-finals drew crowds of celebrating Croatians to streets and squares across the country, with the atmosphere being particularly boisterous in Split, where the revellers were joined by visitors from around the world who were attending the Ultra Europe outdoor electronic music festival.(Hina)
