Zagreb - Croatian Parliament Speaker Gordan Jandroković on Thursday received outgoing Chinese Ambassador Xu Erwen and they said the Pelješac Bridge would remain a symbol of the friendly Chinese-Croatian relations.
The two officials agreed that Croatia and China nurture friendly relations and have very good cooperation in the economy, trade, tourism, and culture.
They also agreed that there is room to intensify economic cooperation and trade as well as a wish to introduce direct flights between the two countries, which would increase the tourist turnover.
Jandroković invited his Chinese counterpart Li Zhanshu to visit Croatia and to the opening of the Pelješac Bridge next year, which will also be an opportunity to mark 30 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Jandroković also thanked the ambassador for her work on the strengthening of Croatian-Chinese relations.
