7th term of the Croatian Parliament (22 December 2011 - 28 December 2015)

Delegation to the Central European Initiative Parliamentary Dimension

About permanent delegation

Central European Initiative (CEI) brings together 18 Member States and was established in 1989 as an intergovernmental forum for political, economic and cultural cooperation.

Parliamentary dimension of the Central European Initiative represents one of the three pillars of the Central European Initiative. The other two dimensions of this organization are executive (at government level) and business.

Rules of Procedure of the Parliamentary Dimension of the Central European Initiative stipulate that members of the Parliamentary Dimension are representatives of the national parliaments of the Member States of the Central European Initiative. The Rules of Procedure of the Parliamentary Dimension also stipulate that each national delegation has the right to at least three seats in the Parliamentary Dimension, and the exact number of seats is determined by the number of inhabitants of the Member States. Croatia has the right to three members and three deputy members within the CEI PD.

The annual chairmanship of the Parliamentary Dimension rotates according to the annual CEI Presidency. Parliamentary Dimension of the Central European Initiative convenes annually in the autumn, and before the annual meeting, its three main committees meet, discussing political, economic and cultural issues.
