The Interparliamentary Conference "From field to sea – A common vision for EU food security and strategic autonomy"

The Interparliamentary Conference "From Field to Sea – A Common Vision for EU Food Security and Strategic Autonomy", organised by the Agriculture Committee of the Croatian Parliament as a part of the parliamentary dimension of Croatia's Presidency of the MED9 Group, will take place in Dubrovnik on 28 September 2026.

The Conference will provide a forum for discussing the challenges and specific needs of the agri-food sector in the Mediterranean Member States of the European Union, with a view to ensuring that these are adequately reflected in future EU policies ahead of the adoption of the new Common Agricultural Policy package and the Multiannual Financial Framework for the 2028–2034 programming period.

The Conference will bring together representatives of the national parliaments of the MED9 Member States, key European decision-makers, representatives of the European Commission and the European Parliament, COPA-COGECA, sectoral chambers and professional associations, as well as stakeholders from the agriculture, forestry and fisheries sectors, together with experts and representatives of the academia.
