Leko, Đukanović agree border issue doesn't affect cooperation

Zagreb - Croatian Parliament Speaker Josip Leko and the visiting Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Đukanović agreed in Zagreb on Monday that the border dispute did not affect the Croatia-Montenegro cooperation in which the former transferred its experience in European Union integration processes to the latter.

"Our outstanding issues do not affect our good cooperation," Leko said during his talks with Đukanović, who arrived in Zagreb for an official visit. The Montenegrin premier thanked Croatia for its support to his country's EU and NATO membership bid. We will try to solve the border issue bilaterally. If we do not make it, we will forward it to international arbitration, Đukanović said.

The two officials also considered bilateral cooperation on the economic front and in projects of regional importance. (Hina)
